Community Ministries
The Missions Committee supports both community and worldwide ministries through monthly offerings and/or personal participation.
- Local missions - supports various individual needs
- Good Works Partner Church - repairs houses of low income residents in the area. Meets the 4th Saturday of the month.
- Philabundance and Baby Manna - provide food and formula for needy families in the area
- World Service Fund - provides funds to UMC Conference to support worldwide ministries
- Bridge of Hope - provides mentoring and physical resources to prevent and end homelessness for mothers with children
- Home of the Sparrow - provides shelter and support resources to help women and children escape from homelessness
- Safe Harbor - provides meals and shelter for homeless men and women
- Women in Recovery - An Exton Women's AA meeting Wednesday evening at 7:00PM in Fellowship Hall.
- The Lord's Pantry - maintains a local food bank for needy families
- Meals on Wheels - provides daily meal deliveries to local homebound residents
- UMCR's congregation and UMCR's Great Beginnings Christian Preschool provide Christmas gifts and food cards for local needy families
- Recovery Expo
- Urbanized Homeless Ministries - meets the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Adults and youth go to Philadelphia to bring clothing and fellowship to the homeless.
- Prayer Shawl Ministry - crochet/knit shawls for prayer for those in need. Over 80 already made. For additional details on this ministry overall, visit www.shawlministry.com
- Career Transition Ministry - a resource in helping people who are looking for a job
