Jesus, this morning we reflect on the preparation for your sacrifice so that we can better understand its significance in this Lenten season. You gave your life for us and you gave us the gift of eternal life. Just as you prepared for that Passover meal, let us prepare our hearts. You knew that betrayal, pain, agony, and despair would be ahead. Even so, you lovingly offered us a symbol of the New Covenant in the form of the Eucharist at that last supper. Holy Jesus, how wonderful you are to us and we offer our praise and homage to you this morning. All glory to you, Jesus! Amen.
