Lord God, you have given us a precious gift and guide for living in the inspired writings of the Bible. But is is not just in the reading of the Bible that we are blessed, but in taking the teachings and bringing them to life that the Bible truly changes our lives. May we be awakened to all that it has to offer us and learn to search out the message we need to hear. May God reveal his character and his purpose for all the experiences in our lives through the parables and passages of the Bible. We ask that our eyes be clear sighted as we look to the blessed Bible to become more like Christ. In his holy name, Amen. |
